By the Mercy and Grace of Allah ﷻ , the hardwork of the teachers and the dedication of parents, Australian Islamic College of Sydney has become the highest performing high school in the Blacktown region in 2019 NAPLAN results.
According to the Blacktown Advocate local paper, recently released results from the NAPLAN 2019 tests shows that the top two schools in the Blacktown area performed well above the state and national average, with the Australian Islamic College of Sydney, in Mount Druitt, and Glenwood High School demonstrating the best results.
The data incorporates the performance of students in Years 7 and 9 in literacy and numeracy as part of the nationwide standardised tests. Year 7 and 9 students at the independent Australian Islamic College of Sydney got an average NAPLAN score of 585 – making it the region’s number one school.
In a letter of thanks to staff, Deputy Principal Ms. Sherin Mohamed has remarked: “This is an exceptional achievement, possible only through the dedication and hard work of teachers. Your commitment in teaching students and supporting them to achieve their best has certainly paid off.”
May Allah ﷻ grant us the strength to strive more and acheive even better results in the future. Ameen.
